Day To Day Itinerary

DAY 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel (overnight in hotel).

You may have free time during the day depending on what time you arrive. A briefing will be given by our tour leader in the late afternoon. He will discuss our tour program in detail. The evening is free, but usually our tour leader will ask if the travellers want to have a group dinner (optional and at the traveller's own expense) at one of Kathmandu’s fine Nepali restaurants.

DAY 02: A Tourist bus ride from Kathmandu to Pokhara.

About 6 hours drive Besi Sahar will take us to the starting point of our cycling adventure. The surrounding provides us magnificant view of the mountains we will be chashing for next few days.

DAY 07: We spend one more day in Manang (3540m) for altitude acclimatisation. We’ll take our time to explore and enjoy the village of Manang and there’ll be the opportunity to ride some nice singletrack loops that take in the Sacred lake and Tibetan village.

This is a big day to cover the hardest part. We start early morning with a 5 hour walk/push/carry (approximately 5km) to reach the summit of the famous Throng La pass (5416m). After we’ve reached the breath-taking (literally!) summit, we have an awesome single-track decent waiting for us all theway down to the religious pilgrimage village of Muktinath where we’ll spend the night. That’s a 1,666m technical downhill!!

DAY 10: Ride from Muktinath (3750m) to Marpha (2650m). Distance: 45 km; 90% rideable.

A ride upwards will take us to summit of around 4100m followed by single track descent with scenic views all the way down to Ekleebhatti. After a rest, we start to climb another summit. Rideable at first, we'll then have to push the last part to reach the top but our efforts will be rewarded by a haiir-raising downhill on scree (small gravel) that gives you the feeling of surfing in the Himalaya!

On the way, we pass by few isolated villages, where we amaze locals who would not see bicycles generally. We spend the night in a beautiful village of Marpha  nesstled into the rock at the sidde of Mustang Valley.

DAY 11: Ride from Marpha (2650m) to Tatopani (1190m). Distance 60 km; 100% rideable.

After a short rest, we climb 30  min to reach  the remote Titi Lake; taking in the amazing scenery with a brethh taking view of the mount Dhaulagiri. Then a long downhill awaits us where there's either the option of an easier traill or to challenge our skills on some steps.
