Day To Day Itinerary

DAY 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (Altitude 1400m/4593ft). Transfer to hotel (overnight in hotel).

Transfer to Hotel, a briefing in the afternoon and a welcome dinner in the evening.

DAY 02: After breakfast, we go on sightseeing of several UNESCO listed cultural heritage sites of Kathmandu city.

We walk through the narrow streets of old bazaar to see historic sites, with its old temples and palaces which epitomizes the religious and cultural life of the people.

Activities: Sightseeing.

Places to visit:

Swayambhunath, one of Buddhism’s holiest shrines. which has stood there for 2,000 years; ancient Kathmandu city; residence of Living Goddess Kumari; Pashupatinath Temple; and Boudhanath, the largest Buddhist stupa in the world.

DAY 03: After breakfast, we drive (about 5 hrs) to Gorkha, a picturesque hill- town at 1080m/3500 ft which boasts a rich history in the making of Nepal.

The place offers a magnificent view of the Himalayan Peaks. Late King Prithvi Narayan Shah, who unified the Kingdom of Nepal during eighteenth century and got an upper hand over the Ranas, was born here. Overnight at camp site.

Places to visit
Gorkha Bazaar, Gorkha Durbar, temple of Manakamana, Gorkhanath Cave and Uppallaokot.


Hiking, sightseeing and Camping

DAY 04: Trek for about 6 hrs to Manakamana, a famous Hindu temple at a hill top at 1302m above sea level.

After breakfast, we start walking to Manakamana which leads us several up and down for about 3 hours before stopping for hearty lunch. Our ascending afterwards is rewarded by a panoramic view of Mt. Manaslu. Again, we keep descending passing a shrine to reach Manakamana. It’s about 3 hours walk to this 17th century temple built in Pagoda style. It is believed that this Hindu Goddess fulfils the wishes of people. A short hike to Lakhan Thapa Cave offers uninterrupted views of mountains. Overnight at Campsite.

Activities: Trekking, Sightseeing, Camping

DAY 05: Drive to Chitwan National Park. Overnight stay in jungle lodge. (Altitude 150m)

After breakfast, we ride a Cable Car to get down the hill. We drive to Chitwan National Park, a home to greater one horned rhinoceros, sloth bear, wild boar, gaur (bison), 4 types of deer, 2 types of monkeys, 2 types of crocodiles, leopards, the elusive Royal Bengal Tiger and over 400 species of birds and various reptiles and other smaller mammals.

We will be met by our naturalist and transferred by jeep, river boats, elephants or land-rovers to the Temple Tiger Jungle Lodge. Welcomed at Amaltarighat (River crossing point) by welcome drink, cold towels and welcome tika.

In the late afternoon, we will enjoy jungle safari on elephant back. In the evening, a hearty meal of continental or Nepalese cuisine will be served around the campfire. Overnight at the Resort.

Activities: Cable Care ride, Sightseeing and Safari

DAY 06: Carry out wildlife activities in Chitwan National Park.

Early dawn alert, tea or coffee; start on an elephant ride or a jungle walk, to view the wildlife in their early repose. Spend 2-3 hrs. in the jungle, then return to the camp.

After breakfast, visit the elephant stables to get a firsthand knowledge on elephants from senior naturalists. Here one can witness the rare scene of elephants at bath.

In the late afternoon, there is a choice to participate in the programs offered at the camp, which includes jungle drives in Land Rovers visiting different lakes inside the National Park, Canoe rides/ floats or an escorted Nature walk and bird watching excursion. Overnight at the Resort.

Activities: Various Jungle Safari activities.

DAY 07: Drive to Lumbini, birth place of Buddha. (Altitude 150m, Total Drive Time 3 hrs).

We drive to Lumbini for about 3 hours. After a short rest at hotel, we visit Maya Devi Temple, the place where Buddha was born. We also visit Ashoka pillar, which has inscriptions identifying the spot as the birthplace and the International Gautami Nuns temple.

Places to Visit: Maya Devi Temple, Pushkani Pond and Ashoka Pillar.

DAY 08: Sightseeing of some of key sites of Buddhist circuit.

After breakfast, Visit Sacred Garden which possesses all the treasures of the historic area. Today as part of the global initiative to promote Lumbini, many countries have built monasteries in the International Monastery Zone.

Then we drive further 25 km to visit 3 important places of Buddhist Circuit.

Places to visit:

Tilaurakot Fort Located approximately 25 kilometers east of Lumbini are the archaeological remains of Tilaurakot; Niglihawa 7-km northwest of Tilaurakot, was another site visited by Ashoka and marked with a pillar. There are ruins of monasteries, stupas and habitation; Sagarhawa lies 3.5 km. north of Tilaurakot and west of Banganga river.

DAY 09: Drive to Pokhara. (Altitude 827m; Total Drive Time 6 hrs).

After breakfast,we drive to Pokhara via Tansen Bazaar for about 6 hours on a scenic country side road winding through rice fields. Tansen, at an altitude of 1400 feet above the sea level is famous for its cultural heritage and offers magnificent view of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna and Manaslu on a clear day. Pokhara city is a vacationer's paradise with its clear lakes and fantastic views of the Annapurna range including the magnificent 8000-m. peaks and Mount Fish Tail.

Afternoon free for extra individual activities. Overnight at the Hotel.

Activities: Sightseeing of Tansen Bazaar.

DAY 10: Visit Sarangkot, a nearby view point at a hill top.

Sarangkot (Kot - Fort) is the site of the old fort and an outstanding view point. After about half an hour drive, we walk for about an hour through villages and forested trail to reach the viewing tower. From here there is a magnificent panoramic view of the Annapurna mountain range.

Rest of the day at leisure.

Activities: Sightseeing and boating (not included in package).

DAY 11: Fly back to Kathmandu and tranfer to Nagarkot, a popular touristc hill station at 2174m altitude. Afternoon free to relax.

After breakfast, we fly back to Kathmandu which takes about 30minutes. We are transferred to Nagarkot, a hill station at an altitude of 2174 meters offering panoramic view of Himalayas including Mt. Everest on a clear day. A pre-dawn walk up the hill to the top 46 meters, just before the sunrise rewards a spectacular view as when the morning sun starts to come up, one by one peaks are set aglow in all their glory.

Free for relaxation at hotel.

Activities: sightseeing and view of sunset over the Himalayan range.

DAY 12: Community interaction at a local school in quiet hill town of Nagarkot.

Early dawn alert for a magnificent sunrise view from the terrace at the resortto watch the change of colors on mountains from golden to silvery white at sunrise.

After breakfast, visit Nepali school where you can volunteer teaching English/Math and some sports to Nepali under privilege student in hill area. After about 3 hours, we go back to hotel for a rest.

DAY 13: Sightseeing of ancient Bhaktapur city, another UNESCO world heritage centre.

We enjoy the sunrise view again and the lovely breakfast at the cozy environment. We check out the resort and again you can join school activities for about 3 hours. In the late afternoon, we drive down the hill to Bhaktapur City on the way to our Kathmandu hotel. Afternoon is free for personal activities. Overnight at the Hotel.

Places to visit:

Bhaktapur or the “city of devotees” with pottery and weavings as traditional industries. The city contains innumerable temples and other architectural showpieces.

DAY 14: Sightseeing of various cultural and heritage places of Kathmandu valley.

After breakfast, wego on a sightseeing tour of the ancient Patan City. The city is full of Hindu temples and Buddhist monuments.

Places to Visit:

Durbar Square:the square is full of ancient palaces, temples and shrines noted for their exquisite carvings.

Tibetan Refugee camp. Here you can see Tibetan man and women weaving carpets.

Kirtipur City, which boasts a great history.  Kirtipur people  fought against Prithbi Narayan Shah- The King of Gorkha so bravely and patriotically to preserve their sovereign independence is well recorded in the historical pages.

Chovar which is famous for its gorge and panoramic view of snow-capped mountain peaks.

DAY 15: Free till transfer to the airport for final departure.

All mentioned land transfers including airport pick off and drop off are in private vehicle.


Accommodation in Kathmandu is at a 5* hotel; Two nights in tent during camping trek; 2 nights in jungle lodge during safari; two nights each in comfortable hotel in Lumbini, Pokhara and Nagarkot.


Meals in Kathmandu and Pokhara are breakfasts only. On camping trek and during jungle safari, all three meals will be provided. Dinner will be provided at Lumbini and Nagarkot. Please refer to detailed itinerary.


During camping trek, following items are provided - Tent with foam mattresses, sleeping bags with liners, a separate dinning tent, toilet tent and a fully equipped kitchen tent with all the necessary utensils.


Any other items necessary for the trip, including personal items such as toiletries, need to be provided by you. A recommended list of items will be included in the trip note which will be provided at the time of booking.
