Bhote Koshi River is suitable for adventurous white water rafting and kayaking. Bhote Koshi which is the main branch of Sun Koshi River originating from Tibet is easily accessed from Kathmandu. Rafting in this river is full of gorges providing challenging rapids with big bounces.


Bhote Koshi river offers mild grade 3 and 5 rapids and can easily be combined with:

√  bunji jumping, canyoning and swinging or

√  a trek in Everest or Annapurna.

Day To Day Itinerary

DAY 01: Drive to Lamosangu. The rafting begins at the Dam in Lamosangu. Overnight in camp. Free time to explore the surrounding area.

DAY 02: Rafting to Dolalghat where trip ends. Drive back to Kathmandu. More challenging trip (optional) continues for third day.

What is Included

√  warm clothing for the evenings including a fleece or a pullover;

√  sunscreen and lip protector;

√  sunglasses (with retaining device) and/or a cap;

√  towel and Toiletries (environmentally friendly is best);

√  personal medication;
