Trekking in Annapurna


Annapurna is one of the world’s classic and most popular trekking destinations. Its scenic grandeur combines multi-cultural and multi ethnic diversity. The Annapurna range is one of the longest Himalayan ranges, spanning 55km, and is considered to be one of the most spectacular. There are 6 prominent peaks ranging in height upto 8,091m which make up the Annapurna ranges. The majestic fish-tail shaped mountain, locally known as Machhapuchhre, peaks at an altitude of 6,993m and can be clearly seen in the backdrop of Lakeside, Pokhara. The Annapurna Conservation Area (ACA) is the largest protected region of Nepal with an area of 7,629km2.

  • Annapurna Circuit trek - A classic trek right around the Annapurna range offering an unforgettable experience of the Himalayan and trans-Himalayan ecosystems.
  • Annapurna Base camp/Sanctuary trek - Short treks to get right in the middle of the Himalayan range.
  • Poonhill- Ghorepani trek - Popular as a short trek to see an amazing sunrise over the Himalayas and authentic culture along the way.
  • Upper Mustang trek - A trail through the last walled city and forbidden kingdom with unspoilt Tibetan culture.

Many of these trails have natural hot springs along the trek, offering trekkers the perfect opportunity to relax and soothe the body after walking. These hot springs are a must see.



  • Home of unique wildlife including 101 species of mammals. These include; Tibetan wolves, Tibetan argali, Tibetan antelope, snow leopards and musk deer. Birds such as the Golden eagle and demoiselle crane soar over the sky above.
