9 day Tibet Trek Tsurphu to Yangpachen - 9 Days

This 9 day Tibet trek from Tsurphu to Yangpachen tour departing from Australia combines opportunity to explore Lhasa and trek in the remote Tibetan region. Beginning at Tsurphu Monastery, You will trek through the rugged path crossing beautiful mountains and valleys of Tibet before emerging into the broad and windswept Yangpachen valley. The experience on the trek includes combination of alpine climbing, sweeping panoramic views of mountains and ancient monasteries. Guided by the locals, you will have opportunities to learn about Tibet culture and religion; Follow monk's lives in monasteries; and Trek around holy lake-Namtso.

 

This is a high elevation trek exceeding 4400m for the entire duration and a maximum elevation 5400m at the Lasar-la. Combining alpine tundra and sweeping mountain panoramas with visits to monasteries and a nunnery, this trek nicely balances cultural and wilderness activities.

 

Best season for this trek: mid April to mid October.
