This 16 day Gokyo lakes trek from Australia in Everest region Nepal takes you through the Gokyo Lakes not very far from Everest basecamp making it possible to extend this tour to include the basecamp trek and update to a Gokyo and Everest basecamp circuit trek. The Gokyo trek less busy than the Everest Basecamp Trek, and boasts a 360-degree view of the Himalayan range which is not possible at the basecamp of Everest. From an ultimate Himalayan vantage point at an altitude of 5,360 metres, you will access stunning mountain vistas featuring four of the world’s highest mountains standing like gargantuan beasts such as Mount Everest guarding the border into Tibet in addition to a series of beautiful turquoise lakes and a majestic glacier which will take your breath away.
The local Nepalese experts in Australia will help plan your 16 day trekking trip to Gokyo lakes, which lies in the Gokyo valley. The Gokyo Valley lies to the west of the traditional trekking routes to Kala Patthar and Everest Base Camp (you can make this a circuit trek by combining Gokyo lakes with Everest basecamp). After a scenic flight to the Everest region, trekking commences at Lukla with gorgeous views. The first few days of this trek is the same as that of the hike to Everest Base Camp. Along the route we will pass Buddhist monasteries as the views of Everest and other towering mountains grow more impressive by the day.

Testimonials
1. Shannon Bartier -
"Just wanted to say thank you for a fabulous time we had on our trek to Everest Base Camp and Chitwan Jungle Adventure (November 2012). I bought vouchers ...and not knowing what to expect, I was blown away by the standard of accommodation we received, both in Kathmandu and Chitwan. The local guides were so friendly and helpful...I wouldn't have made Base Camp without Bimal's help! I have been raving to everyone since returning home about how fantastic our 'holiday' was. Thank you again!".
